After having one of the best-selling albums of the last decade, Adele follows up with the title track to the new James Bond film, "Skyfall." Not surprisingly, it's a HitPredictor in the Hot AC format. And an exciting up-and-coming band, the Lumineers has their first HitPredictor, also at Hot AC, with "Ho Hey." The band, from New Jersey, has a contemporary sound but comes proudly out of the roots tradition.

Every week we track songs before and after they become Hitpredictors, and we call them our Sleepers and Developing & Proven Hits. "Developing Hits" are a select number of songs that show early research potential, or strong upward spin moves at the stations they are played at. "Proven Hits" are songs that show Top 10 research and/or Top 10 spins at multiple key stations in a format.

Mainstream Top 40
Four huge artists and one new artist are in the spotlight this week. Bruno Mars' and Rihanna's singles are still new but developing quickly into hits. Ke$ha's upcoming second album starts off with a bang as "Die Young" is already a Proven Hit after only 3 weeks of release. One Direction has now proven that they're no one-hit wonder as "Live While We're Young" moves to Proven this week. And Hollywood Records may have another teen sensation on its hands with Bridgit Mendler.
